WGN/Chicago Picks Up Compass Media Networks NFL Coverage

COMPASS MEDIA NETWORKS has cleared its SUNDAY NFL football play-by-play coverage on NEXSTAR News-Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO, reports ROBERTFEDER.COM.

WGN's carriage of COMPASS' game broadcasts starts with this SUNDAY's doubleheader, HOUSTON at KANSAS CITY followed by DALLAS vs. the NEW YORK JETS. The games will get a break from going up against CHICAGO BEARS coverage on crosstown ENTERCOM News WBBM-A-WCFS for its opening week, since the BEARS are on their bye week.

FEDER adds that WGN's online stream is now matching the broadcast signal, airing the same commercials, enabling the station to combine stream and broadcast ratings in NIELSEN.
