FCC Seeks Comment On Procedures For New FM Permit Auction

The FCC is seeking comment on competitive bidding procedures to be implemented for FM Auction 106 on APRIL 28, 2020.

A total of 130 FM construction permits will be auctioned off, 34 being repeats from prior auctions that were left unsold or were defaulted upon. The proposed rules include a simultaneous multiple-round auction format conducted over the Internet or by telephone, and a simultaneous stopping rule (all permits open for bid until the bidding stops on every permit) with several proposed alternative variations. Upfront payments are being proposed once again as a prerequisite for bidding.

Comments on the proposed procedures are due NOVEMBER 6th, with replies due NOVEMBER 20th.
