Congratulations to CAPITOL MUSIC GROUP, whose all-star group SUPERM debuted #1 on the Top 200 chart with "The 1st Mini Album SUPERM'. The occasion is historic, as they are the first debut K-Pop act to do so. SUPERM also set the record for biggest ever debut sales in the U.S. by a K-Pop artist. The five-track EP was released as a joint venture between SM ENTERTAINMENT and CAPITOL MUSIC GROUP with distribution via CAROLINE.
The members of SUPERM commented, "It’s like a dream come true. We are happy that our new challenge achieved such great results, and we would like to thank everyone who believed in us and supported us."
Producer SOO-MAN LEE said, "As a producer, I am proud of the members for joining me in this new challenge and I am also grateful for the KOREAN and global fans who supported us. I am very happy to partner with STEVE BARNETT and CMG and I look forward to the greater things we will do together. This is a result of the support and effort of all SM employees and other staff members."
CMG Chairman/CEO STEVE BARNETT replied, "SUPERM made history today. Congratulations to the group, producer SOO-MAN LEE, SM ENTERTAINMENT and everyone at CAPITOL and CAROLINE. This is only the beginning. There’s lots more to come from SUPERM!"
