ALL ACCESS is very proud of our RADIO RALLY POINT feature and the terrific feedback we're getting from you each time this column runs. Curated by DMR/INTERACTIVE Pres./COO ANDREW CURRAN, this bi-weekly look at what radio can do to make itself stronger is already paying dividends to the industry with solid ideas.
This week, RADIO RALLY POINT is speaking with rotation specialist, KEITH HILL, "The UnConsultant," about making music libraries efficient and meaningful in this age of so many new platforms and choices. HILL noted, "The tighter the library, the more certain you can be of every song.
"In our short-attention-span world, every format is evolving more into a CHR schema," meaning more narrowly curated lists, he continued.
"Stationality… the overall images from liners, jingles, promos, and air personalities need to BE THE MARKET," HILL added. "The more stars you have, the stronger you are as a station. The more big songs you have, the stronger you are."
