PodcastOne, Edison Research Release Findings From 'Super Listeners' Study

PODCASTONE and EDISON RESEARCH released topline findings from their first "Super Listeners" study at the IAB Podcast Upfront in NEW YORK TODAY (10/16).
Among the findings from the study of people who listen to at least five hours' worth of podcasts every week, 60% voiced appreciation of podcast advertisers, 44% said their opinion of a company is more positive when they hear it mentioned in their podcasts, 70% considered a new product or service after hearing about it on a podcast, and 43% say they prefer products from podcast advertisers, but while only 24% said there are too many ads in podcasts, 50% said it is important or very important to limit their exposure to ads and 49% sense that there are more ads on podcasts than a year ago.
