Metallica And San Francisco Symphony: S&M2 Becomes Largest Global Rock Event Cinema Release

Metallica's Concert Film Earns $5.5M

BLACKENED/Q PRIME rockers METALLICA and SAN FRANCISCO SYMPHONY:S&M2 concert film has scored the largest ever global rock event cinema release earning $5.5M at the box office last week across 95+ countries in 3,700+ cinemas worldwide. The film will return to theaters for one more night on OCTOBER 30th.

2019’s S&M2 concerts featured METALLICA reuniting with SAN FRANCISCO SYMPHONY for the first time since the original S&M2 performances in 1999. The concerts were filmed over the two sold-out METALLICA shows that opened the new CHASE CENTER in SAN FRANCISCO.
