ENTERCOM Sports WEEI-F/BOSTON afternoon co-host and former NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS tight end CHRISTIAN FAURIA is broadcasting live for 25 consecutive hours to raise money for the AMERICAN DIABETES FOUNDATION. "CHRISTIAN FAURIA'S 25 FOR 25K" will be held from 2p (ET) NOVEMBER 13th to 3p on NOVEMBER 14th, with a goal of raising $25,000. Guests will include PATRIOTS linebacker DONT'A HIGHTOWER and ADA NEW ENGLAND Exec. Dir. SUSAN SARRO.
FAURIA's interest in the ADA's mission came with his son's recent diagnosis of diabetes. “After my son's life-altering diagnosis a few months ago, I became passionate about using my voice to raise awareness and funds to support those affected by diabetes,” said FAURIA. “I look forward to sharing this inspirational broadcast with my listeners.”
“We are excited to support CHRISTIAN FAURIA and WEEI in their goal of spreading critical awareness of the prevalence of diabetes,” said SARRO. “Diabetes is something that impacts all of us. Right now, there are 30.3 million children and adults living with diabetes -- that’s one in 11 Americans -- including 645,000 MASSACHUSETTS residents. The ‘25 for 25k’ event is an opportunity for CHRISTIAN to use his platform to assist us in our mission to prevent and cure diabetes, and to improve the lives of all those affected by it. Together, we can help those living with diabetes feel supported so they can thrive.”
