Oink Ink Opens Entries For 19th Annual 'Dead Radio Contest'

Radio advertising production agency OINK INK has issued a call for entries in its 19th annual Dead Radio Contest for radio spots that were scripted but not selected by clients. Entries, no more than 60 seconds in length and not previously produced by an agency or client, are due by DECEMBER 6th; a Grand Prize winner will win a trip to OINK INK's NEW YORK studios, where the "dead" spot will be produced.
OINK INK Pres. DAN PRICE noted that “since the contest began, about eight winning spots went on to eventually win at various award shows,” including the RADIO MERCURY AWARD and CANNES LIONS.
Last year's winner EMMANUEL TORRES said, “My script was born in one assignment. When I presented it, it got a laugh, but then it died, and the opportunity to run with it never happened -- until I won Dead Radio.”
