NPR has named technology industry veteran NOELLE LACHARITE as VP/Digital Technology, starting next month. LACHARITE, most recently at MICROSOFT, has worked at AMAZON, IBM, REDHAT, and VMWARE and co-founded the AI LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE.
LACHARITE said, "As a longtime NPR fan, I am excited to join this incredible team and help write a new chapter in NPR's rich technical history. I am honored to bring my expertise and passion to this incredible mission and I am looking forward to the opportunity that awaits."
In addition, NPR and the JOHN ALEXANDER PROJECT have selected "ALL THINGS CONSIDERED" Assistant Producer KAT LONSDORF as the tenth recipient of their ABOVE THE FRAY FELLOWSHIP. LONSDORF will spend six months reporting on the aftermath of the 2011 FUKUSHIMA nuclear meltdown as the Japanese government tries to attract former residents of the province to return home.
