NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO (NPR) has just announce the launch of a new microsite, LIVE SESSIONS FROM NPR MUSIC STATIONS ACROSS AMERICA.
This new site continues to leverage the VUHAUS public radio network and transfer the VUHAUS.com website to this new microsite, as a section on NPR.org/Music.
LIVE SESSIONS will feature a mix of music videos curated by public radio music stations. Content will include in- studio performances, playlists, video interviews, and live webcasts.
“Public radio music stations connect and document their local artists in a way that nobody else is capable of,” said WXPN/PHILADELPHIA GM and VUHAUS Board Chairman, ROGER LAMAY. “LIVE SESSIONS will connect all these great music cities in VUHAUS to a wider audience.”
“NPR Music and public radio music stations share a mission: to serve our audiences by providing a platform for music discovery,” said Sr. Dir./NPR Music, LAUREN ONKEY. “Stations across the country have unique takes on regional, local and national music scenes, and they regularly welcome artists into the studio for one-of- a-kind performances. We’re excited to share the rich collection of videos produced by stations to a broader audience of music lovers.”
NPR MUSIC’s partnership with VUHAUS will increase distribution and exposure for station-produced content. Videos will continue to be curated and maintained by the VUHAUS editorial team with editorial oversight from the NPR Music team.
Further All NPR Member stations – not just the VUHAUS members -- will have the opportunity to submit music content for inclusion on LIVE SESSIONS.
