iHeartMedia Names Adam Rivers PD Of New Haven, CT Cluster

iHEARTMEDIA names ADAM RIVERS PD for the four-station NEW HAVEN, CT cluster, effective immediately. RIVERS will oversee Top 40 WKCI (KC101), Urban WKCI-HD2-W265DB (100.9 THE BEAT), Sports WAVZ-A (ESPN RADIO 1300) and News/Talk WELI-A (960 WELI). He will report to JOEY BROOKS, SVP/Programming for iHEARTMEDIA HARTFORD/NEW HAVEN and will continue to serve as an afternoon host for KC101.
"Over the past several years, ADAM has truly been the backbone here at KC101 and a staple in CONNECTICUT radio," said STEVE HONEYCOMB, Region President for iHEARTMEDIA HARTFORD. "ADAM’s years of experience and the way he engages with his listeners go far beyond his afternoon drive show and we couldn’t be happier to see him evolve into this new role here in NEW HAVEN."
RIVERS has served as APD/MD for KC101 and sister Top 40 WKSS (KISS 95-7)/HARTFORD since 2013. His previous experience includes PD at iHEART Top 40 WKSI (KISS 98.3) WINCHESTER, VA, CUMULUS AC WMAS/SPRINGFIELD, MA where he was swing talent, and APD/marketing director for HALL COMMUNICATIONS' Top 40 WILI/WILLIMANTIC, CT.
