Morning Change At WTNY-A/Watertown, NY: Alan Walts Retires, Bill Tinsley Takes Over

STEPHENS MEDIA GROUP News-Talk WTNY-A/WATERTOWN, NY morning host ALAN WALTS has retired from radio and BILL TINSLEY has returned to radio to replace him, reports the WATERTOWN DAILY TIMES.
WALTS ended his 44-year career in radio on OCTOBER 21st, his 67th birthday. WALTS worked at WIGS-A/GOUVERNEUR, NY and WSIR-A/WINTER HAVEN, FL before returning to WATERTOWN in 2005 at WWTI-TV, adding fill-in work at WTNY and taking over mornings from the late GEORGE J, NEHER in 2009.
The TIMES adds that TINSLEY worked at WATN-A in 1978 and then joined PBS affiliate WPBS-TV in 1986, working there for 26 years. He also co-owned a restaurant in WATERTOWN until last DECEMBER.
