BONNEVILLE News-Talk KSL-A-F/SALT LAKE CITY is in the midst of some midday changes, including a new show and an expanded program.
Former "DOUG WRIGHT SHOW" producer LEE LONSBERRY is taking over the 12:30-3p (MT) slot formerly hosted by JAY MCFARLAND before the latter announced his run for Congress. LONSBERRY, most recently Communications Dir. for Rep. ROB BISHOP (R-UT), will start the new show in DECEMBER.
“Hosting this show will be a thrill and a privilege,” said LONSBERRY. “I’ve been preparing for this show my entire professional life, and arguably, well before that.”
“LEE got to see it all when he worked side-by-side with DOUG,” said PD KEVIN LARUE. “He’ll continue that great tradition on KSL in the afternoon.”
The station has also expanded "INSIDE SOURCES WITH BOYD MATHESON," hosted by the DESERET NEWS Opinion Page Editor, to 11a-noon (MT), up from its previous half-hour version. The hour-long edition launched YESTERDAY (11/4).
“These additions to the lineup are an exciting step forward for KSL NEWSRADIO,” said SVP/Market Manager TANYA VEA. “Our commitment to local reporting, fairness, and coverage of the biggest breaking news is greater than ever.”
