NPR Expands ‘Up First’ Podcast To Saturdays

NPR is expanding its daily news update podcast "UP FIRST" to SATURDAYS starting this week. LULU GARCIA-NAVARRO and SCOTT SIMON will host the new edition, which will post by 8a (ET).

"We're delighted that UP FIRST has become an essential part of the morning for so many people," said NPR VP for News Programming SARAH GILBERT. "Those listeners, many of them new to the NPR brand, have been asking us for UP FIRST on the weekend -- and we're pleased to start publishing it."
