Podtrac Releases October Ranker Of Top 10 Podcast Publishers

PODTRAC has released its OCTOBER 2018 ranking of the Top 10 podcast publishers.

In the latest rankings based on U.S. unique monthly audience, NPR remained on top with KAST MEDIA dropping out of the top 10 after a single month, replaced by NBC NEWS; all of the top 10 publishers saw increases in their unique monthly audiences on a month-to-month basis. The average US unique monthly audience for the Top 10 publishers rose 10% month-to-month and 41% year-to-year.

The publisher rankings, which, once again, only include shows opting in for PODTRAC's Podcast Measurement System for the full month (and missing some of the largest shows and publishers) and ranked by unique U.S. monthly audience:

1. NPR (last month: 1) (62 active shows)
2. iHEARTRADIO (2) (299 active shows)
3. THE NEW YORK TIMES (4) (9 active shows)
4. RADIOTOPIA/PRX (3) (81 active shows)
5. WONDERY (5) (79 active shows)
6. BARSTOOL SPORTS (6) (35 active shows)
7. ESPN (7) (64 active shows)
8. WNYC STUDIOS (8) (54 active shows)
9. NBC NEWS (--) (24 active shows)
10. THIS AMERICAN LIFE/SERIAL (9) (2 active shows)

And ranked by global downloads and streams:
