An audio recording of a lunch conversation provided to CNN depicts RUDY GIULIANI as discussing launching a podcast with analysis of the impeachment proceedings. The recording was made by two people who overheard the president's personal attorney talking to an unidentified woman at NEW YORK's SANT AMBROEUS restaurant on SATURDAY (11/9) and includes details of recording and releasing a podcast, including the intent to complete four or five episodes recorded before a Senate trial, choosing a logo, and posting the show. He also discussed op-ed columns he was planning to submit to newspapers defending President TRUMP. The recording was offered to CNN with the condition that it not be published.
In confirming the podcast discussion, GIULIANI's spokesperson CHRISTIANNÉ ALLEN told CNN, "Many Americans want to hear directly from RUDY GIULIANI. He is considering several options, in consultation with JAY SEKULOW and the legal team, regarding the best way to move forward. As of now, they have not decided on the strategy but are getting very close."
GIULIANI, whose role in the Ukraine scandal is seen as central to the impeachment inquiry, appeared on former TRUMP advisor STEVE BANNON's podcast and radio show FRIDAY (11/8), a rare appearance since the arrest and indictments of GIULIANI associates LEV PARNAS and IGOR FRUMAN last month.
