ABC-TV Plans Media Blitz For CMA Awards

ABC-TV is promoting its upcoming television special, "The 53rd Annual CMA Awards," with a media blitz of Country music stars. Country duo nominees FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE (FGL) appeared on “JIMMY KIMMEL Live!” last night (11/11). FGL performed their previous hit, “Simple,” and current single, "Blessings," from the production’s stage setup in downtown NASHVILLE. The late night show will also have appearances by awards show host CARRIE UNDERWOOD and nominated Country group OLD DOMINION tonight (11/12). Additionally, nominee MAREN MORRIS will appear in a comical skit on the show tomorrow night (11/13), after the awards program concludes.
Country legend and awards show special guest host DOLLY PARTON will sit down with ABC's ROBIN ROBERTS TONIGHT (11/12) for an hourlong interview beginning at 9p (CT). The "DOLLY PARTON: Here She Comes Again!" special will include an intimate view into the Country legend's life and career.
Kicking off the awards show day tomorrow (11/13), ABC's "Good Morning AMERICA" will host its "GMA Goes Country!" programming with a performance by nominee LUKE COMBS and appearances by duo nominees MADDIE & TAE as well as TRACE ADKINS.
Hosted by UNDERWOOD, PARTON and REBA MCENTIRE, "The 53rd Annual CMA Awards" will air live from the BRIDGESTONE ARENA in NASHVILLE at 7p (CT).
