CMT Announces Next Women Of Country Class Of 2020

CMT revealed its "NEXT WOMEN OF COUNTRY" class of 2020 during an event TODAY (11/12) at the CMA THEATER at the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM in NASHVILLE, hosted by Country singer MARTINA MCBRIDE and CMT SVP/Music Strategy & Talent LESLIE FRAM. Together, they announced that the new female artists CMT will be giving special support to next year will include ABBEY CONE, AVENUE BEAT, CAYLEE HAMMACK, GABBY BARRETT, HAILEY WHITTERS, KYLIE MORGAN, MADISON KOZAK, RENEE BLAIR, SYKAMORE, TIERA and WALKER COUNTY. During the program, each of those artists performed one song in an acoustic round. Previous "NEXT WOMEN OF COUNTRY" class members who also played were MICKEY GUYTON, CLARE DUNN, LEAH TURNER, RACHEL WAMMACK and TENILLE TOWNES.
BRANDY CLARK and NASHVILLE music industry executive TRACY GERSHON then presented the 2019 Impact Award to BRANDI CARLILE for her musical contributions to Country music (NET NEWS 11/7).
Additionally, CARLILE was joined onstage by Country legend TANYA TUCKER to announce TUCKER as the headlining act for the upcoming "CMT NEXT WOMEN OF COUNTRY TOUR," kicking off in early 2020.
