No New Station Sales In FCC Database Thursday Morning; Salem-Immaculate Heart Deals Close

No new station sale transactions appeared in the FCC database THURSDAY morning. Two licensees filed Form 316s to note the passing of their majority shareholders and transfer of those shares, WARD BROADCASTING CORPORATION, licensee of WTOY-A/SALEM, VA (IRVIN L. WARD, SR., 100% shareholder, interest transferred to his estate intestate) and SOUTHERN GOSPETALITY, LLC (WXAN-A/AVA, IL, HAROLD LAWDER, 50% owner, shares transferred to executor JONATHAN GLEN AULGUR).
A pair of closings also made it to the FCC, with CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH OF GUERNEVILLE closing on the transfer of KGGV-LP/GUERNEVILLE, CA to MULTI MEDIA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION for no consideration and JAMES R. POWELL transferring control of CALHOUN COMMUNITY RADIO INC., licensee of low power FM WJRP-LP/CALHOUN, GA, to JERONDA GAIL POWELL.
Also, SALEM MEDIA GROUP has closed on the sale of thirteen AM stations and seven translators by its subsidiaries to IMMACULATE HEART MEDIA's RELEVANT RADIO in two separate deals for an aggregate $16,950,000, according to broker JORGENSON MEDIA BROKERAGE.
The transactions included in the deal include INSPIRATION MEDIA OF TEXAS, LLC selling KTNO-A/UNIVERSITY PARK-DALLAS, TX; SALEM COMMUNICATIONS HOLDING CORP. selling KRDY-A/SAN ANTONIO, KTEK-A-K241CM/ALVIN-HOUSTON, KXFN-A-K287BY/ST. LOUIS, WAFS-A/ATLANTA, WSDZ-A-K236CS/BELLEVILLE, IL-ST. LOUIS, and WWDJ-A/BOSTON; SALEM MEDIA OF COLORADO selling KDMT-A/ARVADA-DENVER; SALEM MEDIA OF MASSACHUSETTS selling WHKZ-A-W298CX/YOUNGSTOWN, OH; and SALEM COMMUNICATIONS HOLDING CORPORATION selling Spanish Religion WKAT-A-W249DM (RADIO LUZ)/CORAL GABLES-MIAMI; Business News-Talk WZAB-A (AM 880 THE BIZ)/SWEETWATER-MIAMI; Spanish Religion WLCC-A/BRANDON-TAMPA-W282CI/TAMPA (RADIO LUZ); and Business News-Talk WWMI-A (AM 1380 THE BIZ) and the construction permit for W260DM/ST. PETERSBURG, FL.The latter deal closed last month and the rest closed separately due to license renewal timing for the FLORIDA stations in the latter deal.
