BUCK OWENS PRODUCTIONS Country KUZZ/BAKERSFIELD's longtime morning host STEVE GRADOWITZ is retiring. His final day on air will be FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20th. GRADOWITZ has worked mornings for KUZZ since 1986, and received awards including the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC's On-Air Personality of the Year Award twice, most recently in 2018.
“We are so grateful to STEVE for helping BAKERSFIELD wake up every weekday morning and get to work or school with a smile,” said CEO and GM MEL OWENS JR. “He will be missed, but we wish he and his wife JAN many years of happiness in retirement. He’s earned it”.
“I don’t think I’ve ever had one show that I didn’t look forward to being with my friends, laughing with each other, sharing each other’s sadness, and just having a great time," GRADOWITZ told his listeners. “You have always been BAKERSFIELD’s #1 audience, and always will be."
Future plans for the morning show will be announced soon.
