NICK FOX joins WESTWOOD ONE as Country PD for the company’s 24/7 formats. He is based in DENVER, and assumes some of the duties previously handled by GEORGE KING, who was promoted from VP/Programming to VP/GM NETWORK FORMATS in JULY (NET NEWS 7/18). FOX reports to KING in his new role.
FOX previously was PD/midday personality for CUMULUS MEDIA Country WXBM (NASH FM 102.7)/PENSACOLA, FL, as well as afternoon personality on AC sister station WMEZ. Before that, his career stops included the APD job at SAGA Country WVVR and WCVQ/CLARKSVILLE, TN; and WABB, WABD and WMEX/MOBILE. He announced plans in OCTOBER to depart WXBM and move to COLORADO because of his wife's job (NET NEWS 10/24).
“We’re very excited to welcome NICK FOX to the WESTWOOD ONE 24/7 Formats family,” said KING. “NICK brings a unique set of qualities and experiences to the network. His programming, technical and creative skills will be an excellent addition to our team.”
FOX said, “I am honored to join GEORGE KING, and the rest of the WESTWOOD ONE 24/7 Formats team. My heart belongs to Country music and I’m ready to contribute to their already successful business."
Congratulate him here.
