Elroy Smith To Hold ‘Chicago Radio Remix Reunion’

BONNEVILLE Urban AC KBLX (102.9)/SAN FRANCISCO OM/PD ELROY SMITH is also a former CHICAGO programmer. He’s going to host the “CHICAGO RADIO REMIX REUNION” at NORMAN’S BISTRO in CHICAGO on THURSDAY DECEMBER 5th.

The event is a “high school reunion” of CHICAGO urban radio decision makers and on-air personalities that SMITH   worked with at Urban WGCI (107.5), Urban AC WVAZ (V103), Gospel WGRB (1390-A), and Black Talk WVON (1690-A). He worked with one or more of these individuals between 1992-2007.

SMITH said, “I simply want to express my gratitude to every CHICAGO radio personality and co-worker that has contributed to my career with an exclusive “one night only” gathering. So many precious moments and milestones were created in my memorable fifteen years in
CHICAGO radio.”

The guest list includes former WGCI GM, MARV DYSON, MIDWAY BROADCASTING Corp./WVON Chairman MELODY SPANN COOPER, Adjunct Instructor/Operations Dir. ABE THOMPSON for CHICAGO CITY COLLEGES station WKKC (89.3), and CRAWFORD BROADCASTING PD JAY ALAN for Urban WPWX (POWER 92.3).
