CANADA's emergency alert system ALERT READY will send out a test via radio, television, and wireless devices on WEDNESDAY (11/27) in all provinces and territories except NUNAVUT.
PELMOREX Dir./Public Alerting MARTIN BELANGER, whose company operates the technical infrastructure of the alert system, the National Alert Aggregation and Dissemination System (NAAD), said, "Not all provinces and territories have had the need to issue an actual alert. Test alerts educate Canadians on what an emergency alert will look and sound like in the event of a life-threatening situation; across television, radio and compatible wireless devices."
