RADIONOMY is shutting down its streaming service as of JANUARY 1, 2020 and telling users to migrate to its sister company SHOUTCAST's paid business service. The move affects streamers outside the U.S.; RADIONOMY shut down U.S. streaming on MAY 31st, pulling the plug and offering users migration to SHOUTCAST For Business. The BELGIUM-based RADIONOMY acquired SHOUTCAST in 2014.
Users who choose to migrate to the SHOUTCAST platform will get a free year of service and can migrate with one click, but will need to handle payment of music licensing fees on their own, because SHOUTCAST, unlike RADIONOMY, does not manage broadcasting rights for music.
Competitors are moving to take advantage of RADIONOMY's closing as well; French streamer RADIOKING is offering a 50% discount on its services with the code "BYEBYERADIONOMY."
