WFNZ (The Fan)/Charlotte's 17th Annual Street Turkeys Food Drive Happens Wednesday

ENTERCOM Sports WFNZ-A-W273DA (THE FAN)/CHARLOTTE's 17th annual Street Turkeys event is taking place WEDNESDAY (11/27), with 13 hours of live broadcasting 6a-7p (ET) collecting food and cash donations for the SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF METROLINA and LOAVES & FISHES. The HARRIS TEETER grocery chain is donating 3,000 pies, 1,000 turkey breasts, and a truckload of eggs, equivalent to 29,000 meals, to the cause, and CHARLOTTE HORNETS players, cheerleaders, and mascot Hugo will be on hand.

Over the course of 16 years, THE FAN has raised donations to feed over 70,000 families in need. Last year's food drive raised over $16,000, 850 frozen turkeys and 10,000 pounds of food in 13 hours.
