The drama over the future of the lineup at ENTERCOM Sports WFAN-A-F/NEW YORK appears to be playing out in the NEW YORK POST, as columnist ANDREW MARCHAND reports that crosstown ESPN Sports WEPN-F (ESPN NEW YORK 98.7FM) is in "advanced talks" with former WFAN midday co-host CHRIS CARLIN for an evening show and possible ESPN RADIO national duties and play-by-play, and is talking to WFAN midday co-host BART SCOTT for middays 1-3p (ET), where he would be teamed with night host ALAN HAHN and fill the slot left vacant when STEPHEN A. SMITH's ESPN RADIO show ends.
WFAN's lineup is in flux with afternoon host MIKE FRANCESA departing for ENTERCOM's RADIO.COM next year and possibly doing a 6-6:30p (ET) weekday show; MARCHAND reports that WFAN middayers EVAN ROBERTS and JOE BENIGNO are likely headed to FRANCESA's afternoon spot while CARLIN and SCOTT's co-host MAGGIE GRAY may be teamed with JOHN JASTREMSKI or MARC MALUSIS. None of the moves have been confirmed by either station.
