Salem Flips KDIZ/Twin Cities Back To News-Talk As 'Freedom 1570'

SALEM has flipped KDIZ-A/GOLDEN VALLEY-MINNEAPOLIS, MN from its "health and wellness" format back to News-Talk as "FREEDOM 1570." The station, then KYCR, programmed conservative News-Talk as "THE PATRIOT II" in 2002-2009 before going to a Business Talk format in 2009 and "TWIN CITIES WELLNESS RADIO" in 2016.

The lineup for the revived talk format includes the syndicated "AMERICA'S FIRST NEWS WITH MATT RAY" and "ARMED AMERICAN RADIO," WESTWOOD ONE's CHRIS PLANTE, BEN SHAPIRO, and MARK LEVIN, RADIO AMERICA's DANA LOESCH, SALEM's SEBASTIAN GORKA, and "LIKE IT MATTERS RADIO."
