WMGK/Philadelphia's 18th Annual Turkey Drop Collects 11,533 Turkeys

Annual John DeBella Turkey Drop Aids Thousands Of Families

BEASLEY's Classic Rock WMGK/PHILADELPHIA recently helped thousands of families and individuals in the tri-state area with WMGK's Annual JOHN DEBELLA TURKEY DROP.  Last TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26th, DEBELLA, WMGK's morning host, broadcasted live and accepted monetary and turkey donations during this year's Turkey Drop and the final total was 11,533 turkeys!     

The JOHN DEBELLA TURKEY DROP is the largest one day food gathering event in PHILADELPHIA and benefits CITY TEAM PHILADELPHIA, an organization that provides food and services to less fortunate individuals, families, shelters and food groups in the tri-state. Last year's event raised more than 10,000 turkeys.  

While DEBELLA was broadcasting live, members of the WMGK on-air staff were spread around the tri-state area and accepted donations at twelve ACME Markets located across PENNSYLVANIA, NEW JERSEY, and DELAWARE.
