WARNER RECORDS' star DUA LIPA has revealed the name of her upcoming album. Scheduled for release in 2020, it will be called "Future Nostalgia."
The album's lead single, "Don’t Start Now," is already a hit worldwide with over 170 million streams to date, and is Top 15 on the MEDIABASE Top 40 chart. She recently performed the song at the AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS, EUROPEAN MUSIC AWARDS and AUSTRALIAN RECORDING INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION AWARDS.
Regarding the new album, the singer said, "What I wanted to do with this album was to break out of my comfort zone and challenge myself to make music that felt like it could sit alongside some of my favorite classic Pop songs, whilst still feeling fresh and uniquely mine. I was inspired by so many artists on the new record from GWEN STEFANI to MADONNA to MOLOKO to BLONDIE and OUTKAST, to name just a few."
LIPA has also announced plans for her Future Nostalgia 2020 European Arena Tour, starting APRIL 26th in MADRID, and visiting 19 cities across EUROPE and the U.K., ending in DUBLIN on JUNE 19th. Visit dualipa.com/live/ for tour dates. A charity donation will be added to all tickets and proceeds will go to UNICEF and SUNNY HILL FOUNDATION.
