WXRX/Rockford, IL OM/PD Mark Zander Is Out

MID-WEST FAMILY Active Rock WXRX (104.9 THE X)/ROCKFORD, IL OM/PD MARK ZANDER has left the building due to a recent budget cut. In addition to WXRX, ZANDER programmed ROCKFORD cluster’s Sports WNTA-A (SPORTSFAN RADIO 1330) as well as assisting in programming MID-WEST FAMILY Active Rock WQLZ/SPRINGFIELD, IL since the exit of former PD PERRY STONE in MAY 2019.

ZANDER, who has been with the station since AUGUST 2016, said, "I spent 3.5 years assembling my team and rebuilding the image and reputation of THE X in the marketplace.  I am extremely proud of what we were able to do with WXRX heading into it’s 30th year of rockin' ROCKFORD. Thanks to TOM WALKER of MID-WEST FAMILY for the opportunity to revive this heritage rock station - it was hard work, but tremendous fun!"
