Gen Media Partners Promotes Local Radio Advertising In New Advocacy Campaign

GEN MEDIA PARTNERS is launching a radio advocacy campaign promoting the value of local independent radio to advertisers. The campaign was inspired by AMERICAN EXPRESS' annual post-BLACK FRIDAY "Small Business SATURDAY" promotion. In the campaign, GMP sent an email blast to agencies nationwide this morning to promote local radio advertising.
“Advertising on independent radio gives national advertising brands credibility and acceptance from local consumers,” said CEO KEVIN GARRITY. “Many of the stations we represent are run by people who live in the neighborhoods they serve. These radio stations are the heart of their local communities and hyper-connected to their audiences.
“The local radio station is often a community mainstay and voice, and advertisers will always benefit from that association. Our message is clear, independent local radio works for national brands.”
