Soccer Star Julie Ertz To Be Honored As WOGL/Philadelphia's 'Remarkable Woman Of The Year'

Soccer star JULIE ERTZ will be honored as "Remarkable Woman of the Year" at ENTERCOM Classic Hits WOGL/PHILADELPHIA's annual Remarkable Women Luncheon. ERTZ, U.S. Women's National Soccer Team midfielder, will be honored at an invitation-only event next TUESDAY (12/10) emceed by WOGL morning host MARILYN RUSSELL.

“I am extremely honored and humbled to accept this award on behalf of the 100-plus women in the PHILADELPHIA community who have been featured on MARILYN RUSSELL’s Remarkable Woman program on 98.1 WOGL this year,” said ERTZ, currently a midfielder for the NWSL's CHICAGO RED STARS. “There are so many amazing women doing remarkable things in our community, and (husband and PHILADELPHIA EAGLES tight end) ZACH and I are proud to call PHILADELPHIA our community too. I have to thank all of the volunteers and donors of the ERTZ FAMILY FOUNDATION, as it is their commitment that makes it possible for ZACH and me to make an impact here in PHILADELPHIA. We are just getting started here.” ZACH will attend the event, along with JULIE's mother-in-law LISA ERTZ, who serves as Exec. Dir. of the foundation.
