Toby Howell Named PD At KARN-A-F-KAAY/Little Rock

CUMULUS Sports WWLS (98.1 THE SPORTS ANIMAL)/OKLAHOMA CITY host and OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER radio Exec. Producer TOBY HOWELL has moved to sister News-Talk KARN-F, Sports KARN-A (920 THE SPORTS ANIMAL), and Religion KAAY-A/LITTLE ROCK and the ARKANSAS NEWS NETWORK as PD. HOWELL fills the slot left vacant when PETER THIELE, now at ZIMMER News-Talk KZRG-A-K275BD-K290CO/JOPLIN, MO, exited KARN in MARCH.

Market Manager KEITH LIESMANN said, ”We are very happy to get a guy like TOBY with his radio background and look forward to watching him grow the NEWSRADIO 102.9 brand along with THE SPORTS ANIMAL and KAAY across our community in LITTLE ROCK.”

HOWELL, who worked as Assistant OM/PD/Host at MAPLETON COMMUNIATIONS's then-Sports KGA-A and Top 40 KZBD (105.7 NOW FM)/SPOKANE before joining WWLS, said, ”I’m very lucky to be able to work with the CUMULUS group in LITTLE ROCK and to be in the news format at a time like this with 2020 on the horizon is very exciting.  I do want to thank KEITH LIESMANN, JOHN DIMICK, and BILL HESS for the opportunity.”
