Cafe Mocha Radio’s ‘2019 Salute Her Awards’ Tour Wraps Up In Atlanta

CAFE MOCHA RADIO closed out the 2019 SALUTE HER AWARDS five-city tour recently (12/6) in ATLANTA at the RIVERSIDE EPICENTER. Attendees brought toys and gift cards in lieu of tickets for entry -- both were donated to area shelters.
BEACTRESS Director/Producer TERRI J. VAUGHN hosted along with CAFE MOCHA RADIO hosts YOYO and ANGELIQUE PERRIN. The AWARDS Tour was presented by TOYOTA.
CAFÉ MOCHA/SALUTE HER AWARDS founder SHEILA ELDRIDGE said, “This year has been such a blessing and we just wanted to share our good fortune with others. The amazing women we honor are largely in service to others from well-known to unsung ‘sisters’ who have stepped into their power and making a difference.
Thanks to our partners TOYOTA, AARP, LUSTERPINK, AMERICAN AIRLINES, WAMJ (MAJIC 107.5)/ATLANTA, and NCNW GREATER, we are blessed to pay it forward.”
Those in attendance to celebrate ATLANTA honorees included many from ATLANTA’s film community. VANESSA BELL CALLOWAY received the Directors Award. Her 30+ years in film and TV career includes starring roles in COMING TO AMERICA, WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT, and portraying LADY ELLA JOHNSON on THE BOUNCE TV series SAINTS & SINNERS, filmed in ATLANTA.
Other honorees included EMMY Award-winning news anchor/investigative reporter KARYN GREER, motivational Speaker/Author SHERI RILEY, NCNW GREATER ATLANTA Section Pres. DIANE LARCHE’, PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT Founder AESHIA DEVORE BRANCH, WOMEN ON THE RISE co-Founder/Executive Dir. MARILYNN B. WINN, and AMERICAN AIRLINES Ops/Customer Service Manager DENEEN HEWITT.
