KFI/Los Angeles Pastathon Breaks Records For Cash, Pasta Donations

iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk KFI-A/LOS ANGELES raised a record of over $435,000 in cash and 109,000 pounds of pasta in its 9th annual Pastathon last FRIDAY (11/6). The annual event collects donations of pasta and sauce (and money) for ORANGE COUNTY's hungry children in need, benefitting ORANGE COUNTY restauranteur BRUNO SERATO's CATERINA'S CLUB, with $10 donation kits (BARILLA pasta, sauce, plates, utensils, napkins) sold at SMART & FINAL stores.
The station's entire daytime lineup, including morning host BILL HANDEL and anchor JENNIFER JONES LEE, middayers GARY HOFFMANN and SHANNON FARREN, afternoon hosts JOHN KOBYLT and KEN CHIAMPOU, and evening host TIM CONWAY JR., went live for 17 hours from the CHRIST CATHEDRAL in GARDEN GROVE.
"Over the past 9 years KFI Pastathon has raised over 2.8 million dollars and over 500 thousand pounds of pasta and sauce," said PD ROBIN BERTOLUCCI. “Year after year we are honored to join our listeners in support of Chef BRUNO SERATO and his outstanding organization, CATERINA'S CLUB, as they feed thousands of children in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA and help end the cycle of poverty.
