Longtime Pittsburgh Radio Newsman Bob Kopler Dies At 81

BOB KOPLER, who anchored newscasts at several PITTSBURGH radio stations over a more than 45 year career, died TUESDAY (12/10) at 81.

Beginning his career in JOHNSTOWN, PA at age 15 and serving in the MARINE CORPS, KOPLER reported and anchored at News-Talk KDKA-A/PITTSBURGH for 19 years before his 2007 retirement. In the interim, he worked at KQV-A, WWSW-A (3WS), and WTAE-A as well as KDKA-TV.
