WSB/Atlanta-ABC News Radio Reporter, Veteran Radio Newsman Pete Combs Passes Away

COX MEDIA GROUP News-Talk WSB-A-WSBB (95.5 WSB)/ATLANTA and ABC NEWS RADIO reporter PETE COMBS has passed away after a three and a half month battle with lung cancer, the station is reporting. He was 60.
COMBS, who was at WSB for two stints in 2006-15 and again from MAY, 2018 (as an ABC embedded reporter at the station) through his passing, worked in several markets for several stations and networks over the years, including at WGST-A and WYAY (NEWS RADIO 106.7)/ATLANTA, KOMO-A/SEATTLE, KRLD-A/DALLAS and the TEXAS STATE NETWORK, USA RADIO NEWS, CBS NEWS RADIO, WBT-A-F-WLNK/CHARLOTTE, WINK-A/FORT MYERS, and in television at WAGA-TV/ATLANTA, WPCQ-TV/CHARLOTTE and KTUL-TV and KOTV/TULSA. He was a multiple MURROW AWARD winner and avid pilot who produced podcasts for the NATIONAL BUSINESS AVIATION ASSOCIATION and worked at AERONEWS.NET.
