WCMC (99.9 The Fan)/Raleigh Moves: Adam Gold To Middays, Sportswriter Joe Giglio To Afternoon Co-Host

CAPITOL BROADCASTING Sports WCMC-F (99.9 THE FAN)/RALEIGH-DURHAM is making changes in its lineup. Longtime "ADAM AND JOE" afternoon co-host ADAM GOLD is moving to middays noon-3p (ET), replacing the regionally-syndicated DAVID GLENN show, while GOLD's afternoon co-hosting slot next to JOE OVIES is being taken over by former RALEIGH NEWS & OBSERVER sportswriter JOE GIGLIO, who will also report for sister NBC affiliate WRAL-TV and WRALsportsfan.com. (GIGLIO is unrelated to the WIP/PHILADELPHIA host of the same name.)

PD/Ops. Dir. DENNIS GLASGOW said, "It’s not often that you have the unique opportunity to get better when moving an air personality of ADAM GOLD's stature to another timeslot and also add a sports reporting vet like JOE GIGLIO to an already established show, so we’re very fortunate. In the end our listeners are the big winners."
