LOS ANGELES CHARGERS football is moving to iHEARTMEDIA Alternative KYSR (ALT 98.7)/LOS ANGELES under a multiyear extension of the NFL club's deal with iHEARTMEDIA. The games previously aired on sister Sports KFI-A; under the new deal, the broadcasts, accompanied by a two-hour pregame show and one-hour postgame show, will move to FM with some games simulcasting on Sports KLAC-A (AM 570 LA SPORTS).
"Following a wonderful three-year relationship with the SPANOS family, the front office and the team on the field, iHEARTMEDIA LOS ANGELES is very excited to extend our multi-platform partnership with the LA CHARGERS,” said iHEARTMEDIA LOS ANGELES/PREMIERE NETWORKS/FOX SPORTS RADIO SVP of Sports DON MARTIN. “2020 will mark a historic season as the CHARGERS christen their new home at SOFI STADIUM, and iHEARTMEDIA LOS ANGELES looks forward to being the voice that keeps every CHARGERS fan informed, engaged and connected. Bolt Up!"
“Over the past three years, not only has iHEARTMEDIA LOS ANGELES been a tremendous partner, they’ve played an instrumental role in growing the CHARGERS brand and connecting it with fans across the region,” said CHARGERS President of Business Operations A.G. SPANOS. “I’m thrilled to see our partnership expand to both sides of the radio dial and extend beyond the airwaves to marquee events put on by both the CHARGERS and iHEARTMEDIA. As we move into our new SOFI STADIUM home and embark upon a new era of CHARGERS football, having a partner as influential and dedicated as iHEARTMEDIA LOS ANGELES right there with us is an incredibly exciting proposition.”
