FRIDAY (3/6) night’s 16th annual "Ringside: A Fight for Kids Gala" boxing event at THE FACTORY'S LIBERTY HALL in FRANKLIN, TN welcomed a record-breaking crowd of 650 boxing fans, and raised money to support THE CHARLEY FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization benefitting multiple children's charities in the NASHVILLE area. The action-packed evening featured four "Rumble on the Row" amateur boxing matches sanctioned by USA Boxing, and included matches between Country music industry professionals.
BBR MUSIC GROUP/BMG NASHVILLE Dir./Digital Strategy & Analytics ADDIE SALOMAN defeated SIRIUS' "THE HIGHWAY" host and producer ANIA HAMMAR in a match, and BIG LOUD songwriter/artist JOEY HYDE out boxed BIG LOUD/MAVERICK MANAGEMENT'S MARC RUCKER. Additionally, CURB/WORD MUSIC PUBLISHING songwriter JENNIFER DENMARK, who co-wrote JIMMIE ALLEN'S "Make Me Want To," which went number #1 on the Country charts last week (NET NEWS 3/2), beat artist/songwriter/producer BRIDGETTE TATUM.
WARNER CHAPPELL VP/A&R RYAN BEUSCHEL served as ring announcer while radio veteran TOM ENGLISH held Master of Cemeronies duties.
"I am incredibly proud of each of these fighters and their commitment to prepare for this event," said Founder and Chairman of the CHARLEY FOUNDATION CAROLYN MILLER. "Having our biggest turnout and most successful ringside event ever is so fulfilling knowing that so many children in need will be touched by the generosity of so many."
