The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS has come out in support of the FCC's proposed rules permitting AM radio stations to go all-digital.
In comments filed with the Commission, the NAB said that it "strongly supports this proposal and applauds the Commission for its continued efforts to help revitalize AM broadcasting.... Allowing stations to voluntarily transition to all-digital AM service will benefit listeners with enhanced AM service and improve AM broadcasters’ ability to succeed in the increasingly competitive audio marketplace."
The comments go into detail on the benefits the NAB sees arising from the MA3 all-digital mode of operation, touting greater coverage and reliability as demonstrated in HUBBARD's testing at WWFD-A/FREDERICK, MD.
