WESTWOOD ONE's "THE BOB & TOM SHOW" has canceled two upcoming live events due to concerns over the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. A live appearance at CINCINNATI REDS opening day by the cast of the show on MARCH 26th and an APRIL 3rd live broadcast from CHARLESTON, WV honoring affiliate L.M. COMMUNICATIONS Rock WKLC (ROCK 105)/CHARLESTON, WV's 40th year in the Classic Rock format have both been canceled.
Host TOM GRISWOLD said, “We look forward to rescheduling these events and adding many more once the smoke clears.”
THE BOB & TOM RADIO NETWORK COO JOHN KESLER said, “In addition to the obvious public health uncertainties with creating gatherings of hundreds of people in relatively close quarters, it’s the start of the SPRING rating period and we don’t want to risk the health of our broadcast crew. We can’t lose sight of the fact that we are the morning show for over 100 radio stations.”
