Radio veteran RON STEVENS, most recently PD/afternoon host at iHEARTMEDIA Country WQRB (HOT COUNTRY B-95)/EAU CLAIRE, WI, is working on a book and is seeking assistance from the Country music community. STEVENS has also worked at TOWNSQUARE MEDIA Country KEKB/GRAND JUNCTION, CO; and CUMULUS WPCK (KICKS 104.9)/GREEN BAY, WI, among other stations.
“In my career in Country radio, I have seen plenty of 'Spinal Tap' moments,” he tells ALL ACCESS, explaining that he’s putting a book together “with stories from Country artists, radio folk, label reps, promoters, etc. with some of their 'Spinal Tap' stories.” He’s looking for industry insiders with those stories to share, and notes that “with all this craziness going on with tours postponing, [plus the] ACM [Awards], sporting events etc., now, would be a good time for those artists, etc. to reflect on their unreal, funny, bizarre stories.”
He adds that he will “give full credit and recognition to all those who participate.” Have a story to share? Reach STEVENS here.
