The CDC has created an Emergency Response campaign to raise funds in the fight against CORONAVIRUS and celebrities have been active on social media helping to spread the word, using digital avatars created with the help of tech company GENIES.
Celebrities who are involved in the campaign include BILLY RAY CYRUS, production duos LOST KINGS and LOUIS THE CHILD, PUERTO RICAN singer-songwriter FARRUKO, NFL star ARIK ARMSTEAD and radio host MAXWELL from iHEART Top 40 WHTZ (Z100)/NYC.
People are encouraged to donate via the GENIES official website or even create their own digital avatar to share on social media using the hashtag #COLIV_20.
In an INSTAGRAM post, CYRUS said, "’19 brought COVID-19 into our world and has taken it by storm, but ’20 marks the year we unite to take it back. Even though we are socially distanced in the physical world, we can live together in the digital world. #COLIV_20 begins now. Join by donating to the CDC Foundation."
