NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO will air the WASHINGTON NATIONAL OPERA's performance of GEORGE GERSHWIN's "PORGY AND BESS" on the opera's 70th anniversary. The opera, with LISA SIMEONE anchoring, will air live on NOVEMBER 12 as part of NPR's "World of Opera" series. The show will also air on 26 European stations on DECEMBER 10.
