Almost as quickly as it started, the Talk format at WTZA-A-W271CV (THE TALK OF ATLANTA)/ATLANTA launched seven weeks ago has ended, with WILL REGAN's RC MEDIA PARTNERS pulling the plug after FRIDAY's shows due to a lack of advertising, reports the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION's RODNEY HO.
REGAN leased the station from K&Z BROADCASTING and told HO that the CORONAVIRUS crisis led to investors pulling out and advertisers pulling radio schedules. He also said that damage to the station's tower would require a six-figure expenditure.
The station was the home of market veterans KIM "THE KIMMER" PETERSON and SHANNON BURKE; BURKE also hosts afternoons at JVC MEDIA News-Talk WDYZ-A-W288CJ (FLORIDA MAN RADIO)/ORLANDO-WYGC /HIGH SPRINGS-GAINESVILLE-OCALA.
