WDRV/Chicago Presenting Sing-Along Friday Night

The Drive's Show Of Unity

HUBBARD RADIO Classic Rock WDRV (97-1 THE DRIVE)/CHICAGO plans to provide a few moments of reflection, diversion and unity for the CHICAGO area amidst the current COVID-19 crisis this FRIDAY, MARCH 27th at 8p (CT). THE DRIVE will air “The Star Spangled Banner” followed by QUEEN’s “We Will Rock You / We Are the Champions.”  

CHICAGO’s iconic WILLIS TOWER and THE PRUDENTIAL BUILDING have agreed to modify their lights to light the skyline in red, white and blue during the event. Other downtown buildings are encouraged to light the city’s skyline in red, white and blue colors and sing-along participants are reminded to shine flashlights and other personal lighting devices while raising their voices in unison during the FRIDAY evening event.

WDRV PD ROB CRESSMAN said, "As COVID-19-related hardships, anxiety and uncertainty continue to consume our daily lives, THE DRIVE is endeavoring to provide a few moments of relief, unity and pride across the CHICAGOLAND region.  We look forward to hosting this spirited event. We hope to instill a strong sense of community while preserving ever-critical social distancing regulations -- as fans participate solo, or within their own households.”
