HUBBARD RADIO’s WEST PALM BEACH, FL cluster has set up a web page where local business that are still open can submit their info for the community to use as a resource. Check it out here. Meanwhile, the morning show at the company’s Country WIRK (NEW COUNTRY 103.1) helped save a local restaurant from imminent closure, demonstrating the power of local radio.

WIRK personalities TIM LEARY and CHELSEA TAYLOR got a call YESTERDAY (3/25) from a tearful woman hoping to get the word out that her mother’s local restaurant was still open for takeout and delivery, but struggling financially. They shared that information, and the restaurant’s phone number, on the air. TODAY (3/26), the restaurant owner herself called them to emotionally share the news that her business is now booming thanks to the morning team’s efforts. Listen to both calls here.
