CUMULUS Country KAYD/BEAUMONT, TX has switched from its “NASH-FM” branding back to using its call letters and slogan, “TEXAS Country,” and positioner “The ‘90s to now.” The station has also revamped its on-air lineup, moving air personality B SHAW to morning from the midday host and Promotion Dir. jobs at Top 40 sister KQXY (Q94). KAYD PD DON BRAKE segues from mornings to middays, and former midday host BIG DAN moves to nights, bumping CUMULUS’ syndicated “Nights With ELAINA” show. ROWDY YATES remains in afternoons.
KAYD joins a growing list of CUMULUS stations that have dumped the company’s “NASH FM” branding in recent months. That list also includes WDRQ/DETROIT; WFYR/PEORIA, IL; WNNF/CINCINNATI; and, most recently, WXBM/PENSACOLA, FL
