SKYVIEW NETWORKS' update on the sports franchises it services that are feeding classic game broadcasts and other vintage content to affiliates while the seasons are suspended due to the COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS pandemic includes ten MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL franchises and three NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE TEAMS offering replays and best-of content. Among those teams, the distributor notes that the ST. LOUIS CARDINALS, with the largest radio network in baseball, are airing the 2011 WORLD SERIES on 60 of the team's 145 affiliates. Hockey's COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS are airing the best games of the currently-suspended 2019-2020 season.
“The baseball season is such a big part of our fans’ lives, so we knew it was important to get CARDINALS content back on air for our affiliates and CARDINALS Nation,” said CARDINALS RADIO NETWORK Manager ANNE CARROLL. “We have received great feedback from the 'Classic 2011 Games' content we are providing and know the experience of listening to the franchise’s biggest moments is keeping the connection to our team strong.”
Teams offering replays and other classic content via SKYVIEW include baseball's ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS, ATLANTA BRAVES, CINCINNATI REDS, CLEVELAND INDIANS, HOUSTON ASTROS, KANSAS CITY ROYALS, PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES, PITTSBURGH PIRATES, ST. LOUIS CARDINALS, and TEXAS RANGERS, and hockey's ARIZONA COYOTES, COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS, and MINNESOTA WILD.
